This Sunday, 3rd April 2022, you are invited to the Dikke Banden Race 2022, in Westerpark, Amsterdam. This annual race is dedicated to children, up to and including 12 years old. As Cherry Cruiser is one of the “all-time Marshal” volunteers, we assure you that the course is safe and well prepared with fences, barrier tape, banners, and flags. At the start and finish line, we have a jury and an MC that creates a competitive atmosphere for the race. Around the track are traffic marshals, cheering crowds, and fans. Here is our dream team last weekend in Westerpark: Paulien from Cycle Fun Production, Liliana aka Cherry Cruiser, Warren aka Flowerbikeman, and his lovely wife Michele.

All participants will receive a back number, a t-shirt, and a medal. Also, don’t forget that a helmet is mandatory for all the little participants. Helmets and some bicycles can be borrowed on the spot (if you book a place for your children in time).

Special Spring Cycling Parade around Westerpark

The most exciting part will be the Special Cycling Parade. All the participants, kids, parents, or just bike lovers can participate with their decorated bicycles for a colorful bicycle ride. We will ride together celebrating Spring and open together a new cycling season in a festive way.

As always, Cherry Cruiser will be there, all dressed up and volunteering, we will ride along with the most amazing artist of this city: Warren the @flowerbikeman. He will bring around 15 of his beautiful flower bikes to this parade. So, excited about this!
