Sunday, 17th September around 40 ladies met in front at Museumplein, Amsterdam. All dressed up, with flowers in their hair and on their bikes, with heels, chic outfits and a lot of smiles. We love to ride in style in Amsterdam! @fancywomenbikeride 2021 was a blast, our amazing ladies of Amsterdam were more beautiful than ever riding Warren’s @flowerbikeman magical flower bicycles. I was super happy to meet again with the beautiful @thefairybike she was a sparkle of joy surrounded by #superwomens on bikes!

Me and Cherry Cruiser were on top of our game, dressed with a red skirt and wearing a mini hat and scarf made by my lovely friend @ralitzatailoring. Was amazing to do this again, and to remember our SkirtBike rides back in Bucharest. I felt again the SkirtBike vibes with colour, flowers and lovely ladies riding bicycles! Missed this so much.

The Fancy Women Bike Ride Manifesto

The Fancy Women Bike Ride is a global event held by women for women to remember the liberating joy of cycling and to inspire more women to use bicycle in the cities. The idea is to claim womens visibility in urban spaces and our rights in the city. With this event, we also promote cycling as the best environmental friendly way of commuting in cities.

The more women cycle, the more women will be encouraged to cycle.

Every year on World Car Free Day, women will be on the streets with their bikes to show that everyone can ride a bike, and it is even possible to cycle with a fancy dress. Woman’s visibility in urban spaces is key to claim the right to the city. Cycling is a particularly powerful way for women to become visible in the society and a complete new way to interact with the city. The bike ride was celebrates all over the world and was amazing to see all the bike ladies making a statement, a colorful one
