Because I moved in every cyclist dream world, the Netherlands, I met for the first time the cyclist community here in the Amsterdam at the Light Parade 2018 organized by Cycle Fun Production. An event which is promoting the bicycle as a healthy, sustainable and fun vehicle, where participants are encouraged to present the bicycle and themselves as an artistic light performance. Also, this parade aims to gather the community and to show this unique way to draw attention that lighting helps us to move safely on two wheels by night. I saw the event on flowerbikeman’s Instagram account and I had to attend. It was an opportunity for me to take a ride with Cherry Cruiser together with other beautiful cyclists in Westerpark on 16th of December.  So, I prepared myself with some lights and made Cherry Cruiser a “sparkle chic” bicycle.In front of Circus Zanzara in Westerpark, I found a lot of people smiling and dancing. Their bikes were glowing like giant fire fly’s. People around would stop and to take pictures with us, they would applaud and cheer us, the light riders in the foggy Westerpark.
After our rides, some of us participate at the “Best pimped Bike contest” in Circus Zanzara. Ohh, and it was super fun. Everyone got nice presents, especially the winners. The most creative light design won a bicycle.

The light bike riders of Amsterdam

Amsterdam Light Parade gave me the chance of meeting the Flower Bike Man, a nice cyclist from USA moved here with his beautiful wife. He has an in interesting story of creating flower bicycles and spreading love all over Amsterdam city with his flower bikes.
Also, I met Roberto IJsBike, he is a cyclist that sells Italian ice-cream on his bike in the city of Amsterdam. If you love bicycles, music and ice-cream he is the man that you have  to search for, in this city.
And not the last, I’ve met the fairies, yes, wonderful The Fairy Bikes. Two cyclist that have the most beautiful flower bikes in the world.I would like to thank Cycle Fun Production and their partners for doing this type of events where can people enjoy a bit of magic and a bit of color on their bicycles.
